Spirotech have developed the spirotrap 28mm which is a brass dirt separator and acts as a filter for installation water. It can shield from particles that are 0.005mm in size. The benefit of a separator over a filter is how they are lower maintenance and more efficient. Filters can get blocked and cause your water pressure to plummet. Spirotech avoid this by adding a drainage tap for the dirt. Thanks to this no filters will need changing and there'll only be minimal drop in water pressure, simply drain the Spirotrap once in a while and keep your water system hassle free. (Bypass or shut-off valves not needed.)
