Spirotech have developed the spirotrap 28mm which is a brass dirt separator and acts as a filter for installation water. It can shield from particles that are 0.005mm in size. The benefit of a separator over a filter is how they are lower maintenance and more efficient. Filters can get blocked and cause your water pressure to plummet.
