Indirect Twin Coil Tempest solar hot water cylinders are made for use with heating systems that utilise solar thermal energy in addition to a conventional boiler. The Duplex stainless-steel cylinders have a specially designed renewable coil that can be up to 0.71 m2, allowing for the greatest possible heat transfer of renewable energy into the stored water. A 3 kW immersion heater that was factory installed on the cylinders is included as backup heat.

Indirect cylinders are heated by either a boiler or an immersion heater and require a minimum working pressure of 1 bar for optimal operation. The minimum pipe size for best operation is 22 mm. Made of highly durable and long-lasting stainless steel, the cylinder supplies mains pressure hot water and offers high flow rates with a fast reheat time and high efficiency. It comes with a factory-fitted temperature and pressure relief valve set at 7 bar (90 degrees Celsius) and is fully insulated to minimize heat loss.

A full unvented kit, including a remote expansion vessel with a factory-fitted wall mounting bracket and a 3 kW immersion heater, is supplied. The cylinder is WRAS approved, and is treated to protect against corrosion. It requires annual servicing and comes with a 2-year guarantee on components.
